Tamarra Coleman
A lifelong resident of Kenosha County, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Services from Herzing University and am a certified Project Manager through the Project Management Institute.
After a 20-year career in the private sector, I transitioned to nonprofit leadership in 2015, joining the Shalom Center as Director of Programs and Operations before becoming Executive Director in 2018. In January 2025, I was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Racine Family YMCA, where I oversee two branches and lead with the same servant-leadership principles that have guided my career and community service. Deeply committed to community engagement, I continue to serve on several community boards across southeastern Wisconsin.
I have been happily married to my husband, Rev. Michael Coleman, for 30 years. Together we cherish our three adult daughters—Kyasia, Khaila, and Kierra—our son-in-love, Jhalin, and our beloved granddaughter, Milani.
